MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – The Vet Center Of Myrtle Beach and the City Of Myrtle Beach hosted a Vietnam War 50th anniversary and commemoration event on Friday.
The event was held at the General Robert H. Reed Rec. Center in the Market Common.
“Even the Vietnam veterans that are not here today appreciate this gathering. It’s a brotherhood. It’s a Vietnam veteran’s brotherhood, which is very important,” said Fred Morris, U.S. Air Force Sergeant and Vietnam veteran.
The National Archives say more than 58,000 U.S troops died in the Vietnam War.
