Thousands of Carolina Country Music Festival goers rely on ride sharing apps and taxi services every year to get to the concert grounds.
This year the City of Myrtle Beach decided to designate a little over 20 spots on 9th Avenue N. in the Superblock for drivers to pick up and drop off. The area is directly across the street from the concert entrance.
News13 spoke with several drivers who say the designated area makes it easier to locate their passengers, rather than having to navigate through the chaos of downtown like previous years.
Festival goer, Andrew Hall is from Alabama and says having a designated area for pick up and drop off also makes it less of a hassle for passengers.
“You don’t have to worry about fighting traffic yourself, if something does happen you have uber to fall back on, they can be the responsible one for you.” Hall said.
