An area church is trying to make sure 3,000 people get at least one meal a day during the recovery from Hurricane Florence.

Ekklesia Christian Church partnered with Duke Energy, The Salvation Army, and Recovery Logistics, Inc. to provide meals to flood victims in the Socastee and Conway areas.

Church leaders say it is all a part of what they are supposed to do.

“We’re about discipleship and showing God’s love, and we want to show what a church community can do by pulling together in unity and being able to be here for our community,” says Deacon Rick Vines.
