CONWAY, SC (WBTW) – The Horry County Police Department is investigating after a burned vehicle riddled with bullet holes was found in an isolated area just outside Conway.

Captain John Harrelson with the department confirms officers were called to the location off Bucksville Road in the Conway area early Friday morning. Once the fire was put out, officers confirmed the vehicle appeared to have been shot multiple times.

The type of vehicle found was not immediately available and police have not released any information related to suspects connected to the vehicle. Capt. Harrelson says the vehicle was towed to the Horry County impound lot for processing.

Just two weeks ago, another torched vehicle containing the bodies of two murder victims was discovered on Butler Road, just off Enterprise Road in Socastee, south of Myrtle Beach. Four men were arrested in that case.

As police released more information, WBTW will update this article.
