MURRELLS INLET, SC (WBTW) – Ten years ago, April 25, 2009, Brittanee Drexel went missing in Myrtle Beach.    The 17-year-old from Rochester, New York, was on a Spring Break trip to the Grand Strand when she disappeared.

Thursday, April 25, 2019, the annual vigil to remember her will be held at the Market Common Park where family members planted a tree in her honor years ago.

Saturday, April 27, 2019, Britanee’s Little Angels will host a ten-year anniversary fundraiser.  The event is to honor Britanee, raise awareness of missing persons and human trafficking.

The money raised at this event will support Britanne’s Little Angels, a 501C-3 which was started to help missing persons and human trafficking victims.  The group wants to open a safe house for trafficking victims.

Organizers say South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson will be speaking at the fundraiser in regards to human trafficking.

The fundraiser takes place noon until 4 pm at the Beaver Bar in Murrells Inlet located at 3534 Highway 17 business.
