CAROLINA FOREST, SC (WBTW) – Horry County police are investigating after a body was found in the Carolina Forest area near the Publix grocery store.
Captain John Harrelson with the police department says the body was discovered Saturday morning around 10 a.m. near a pond, but it’s unknown if the death is storm-related.

“We are just getting investigative resources to the scene,” Capt. Harrelson says. “Our investigation is just beginning.”
At this time, no details about the deceased are being released.
