MURRELLS INLET, SC –  The 22nd annual “Blessing of the Inlet” celebration at Belin Memorial United Methodist Church in Murrells Inlet is Saturday, May 5, 2018, 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

The celebration features more than 100 arts and crafts vendors showcasing handmade goods, delicious food prepared by some of Murrells Inlet’s restaurants, and children’s events.

There will also be a full day of entertainment featuring dance troops, gospel choirs, contemporary Christian musicians, and more. This festival is highlighted by the “Blessing of the Inlet” Ceremony that begins at 11:30 AM in front of Belin church (creek side). The blessing will be administered by the Reverend Dr. Mike Alexander and the Reverend Walter Cantwell.

The Blessing of the Inlet generates funds for many missions, charities and nonprofit organizations.  This year’s featured charity is Coastal School Ministries.  Coastal School Ministries works in partnership with Horry County Public Schools to expose youth to Biblical Principles through Released-Time Bible Education.

There is no admission or charge for parking, and the event will be held rain or shine.
