CONWAY, SC (WBTW) – A barricaded man in the Conway area was taken into custody “without incident” Wednesday afternoon, according to the Horry County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page.
Horry County police officers were also on the scene at Harden Drive.
The sheriff’s office said it was in the process of serving papers related to a foreclosure and the man told deputies he wouldn’t come out.
After four hours of negotiations, the man surrendered peacefully, the sheriff’s office said, but a fire was started as the man left the house.
The Facebook post told people to avoid the area.
