AYNOR, SC (WBTW) – The town is helping children send letters to Santa Claus all the way to the North Pole.
Aynor has a mailbox set up right outside the town hall on South Main Street next to Aynor Park. Any letter with a return address will get response from Santa.
It’s the second year Aynor has sent kids’ letters to Santa after the town collected about 175 letters last year.
“I just think kids at a certain age, the joy of getting a piece of mail in the mailbox is something they look forward to,” said Ashley Jordan, who works for the town of Aynor.
Aynor is also hosting a Christmas festival at the town park Saturday.
A parade starts at 10 a.m., a holiday market will be open until 3 p.m. and a Christmas tree lighting will start at 5 p.m.
