All lanes of Highway 9 in the Green Sea area of Horry County have reopened as crews battle a brush fire, according to Horry County Fire Rescue.
The brush fire forced the closure of all lanes of Highway 9 in the Green Sea area Wednesday afternoon.
According to fire officials, the fire is estimated at about 10 acres in size.
The call for service came in around 4:30 p.m.
No structures are being threatened as of 6:10 p.m. No injuries have been reported.
Crews from Loris and Tabor City (NC) and the SC Forestry Commission are assisting Horry County Fire Rescue.
