All lanes of Highway 17 reopen in North Myrtle Beach after natural gas leak

All lanes of Highway 17 from 46th Avenue South and Windy Hill Road in North Myrtle Beach have reopened. 

According to the North Myrtle Beach Fire Department, the closure is due to a ruptured gas line. People were asked to use alternate routes and avoid the area. 

Around 6:30 p.m. the fire department said all units had cleared from the gas leak and all lanes were back open.
