South Carolina DOT has told the City of Conway the total closure of 501 Bypass around the city is “imminent”, according to a post from the City of Conway on Facebook.
The closure is so crews can work on a flood prevention project as water levels across the area rise.
In addition to 501, Main Street between Boundary Street and Mill Pond Road has been closed due to flooding of the Crabtree Canal.
