501 Bypass in Conway closed due to the heavy rain

According to the City of Conway the 501 Bypass around the city has been closed temporarily. 

In a Facebook post the city says this is due to heavy rains Saturday afternoon has created “ponding” in the road. SC-DOT has mobilized pumping equipment to clear the water off the road. 

Officials say to use an alternate route.
