LITCHFIELD BEACH, SC (WBTW) – One person is in the hospital with life-threatening injuries and another in critical condition after a 4-vehicle crash on U.S. 17.
The crash happened about 8:45 a.m. on U.S. 17 just north of Willbrook Boulevard, according to Fire Rescue spokesperson Mark Nugent said.
One person, who was extricated from a car, was taken to Grand Strand Medical Center with life-threatening injuries, Nugent said. Another person in the car was taken to Waccamaw Hospital and is in critical condition.
Five other people involved in the accident were checked out at the scene and refused transportation, Nugent said.
