CONWAY, SC (WBTW) – A three-vehicle accident involving a semi-truck near Highway 701 injured three people on Friday morning.
Horry County Fire Rescue crew were on the scene of the accident at about 11 a.m. near Highway 701 and Highway 65. The Horry County Sheriff’s Office and South Carolina Highway Patrol also were at the scene.
The accident involved a semi-truck, a pickup and a box truck, according to Horry County Fire Rescue.
One patient was taken to Grand Strand Medical Center, and another was taken to Conway Medical Center. A third person was treated at the scene and waived hospital transportation.
Traffic was moving but backed up as of 11:45 on Friday morning. Authorities were still asking people to avoid the area for the time being.
