MYRTLE BEACH (WBTW) – Sandy Brown, executive director of the Grand Strand Humane Society, resigned effective on Wednesday.
Brown told News13 she stepped down in part because her husband’s health demanded her attention. She also said her son, Stefan, who has worked for the shelter in Myrtle Beach for a couple of years, was recently named co-executive director and he would take over her duties now.
Sandy Brown started as executive director in 2008.
