Myrtle Beach Harley-Davidson and House of Blues are partnering to host Bike Night, a weekly event on The Deck at The House of Blues in North Myrtle Beach.
Guests can enjoy food and drink specials, but enter to win raffle prizes. The grand prize is a Harley-Davidson motorcycle. The winner will be announced at the event’s series.
All the money collected for the motorcycle raffle will go to the Veteran’s Welcome Home and Resource Center. The group’s new site opened last week in Little River.
Kris Tortellotte, the group’s director, and several other volunteers spent 10 months renovating the home. The goal is to have at least 7 veterans, or their family members, live in the home and work toward starting a career.
“When they gave me the certificate of occupation, I just started crying because now we’re going to be able to prove the need, and we’re going to show everybody that we can turn out taxpaying citizens,” Tortellotte said.
He needs about $2,000 a month to keep the facility running.
Bike Night is every Thursday at 5 p.m.
