Grand Strand Amateur Radio Club to host Beachfest this Saturday

CONWAY, SC – The Grand Strand Amateur Radio Club’s  20th annual “Beachfest,” a ham radio and computer expo at the Old Pee Dee School, 3521 Juniper Bay Road, Conway, SC, is Saturday, November 12, from 8AM until 2PM. In addition to vendors, the American Radio Relay League (ARRL), the National Weather Service, and National Parks on the Air (NPOTA), will be there hosting forums.

 

The Grand Strand Amateur Radio Club is a non-profit educational corporation dedicated to promoting the art and science of amateur radio in Horry County and South Carolina.  The club operates four repeaters on 145.110, 146.805,147.120, and 444.675MHz. Members who are involved in the Amateur Radio Emergency Service (ARES), provide communications support for Horry County Emergency Management and the American Red Cross during times of emergency.
