Lt. Joey Crosby with the Myrtle Beach Police Department said police arrested Calvin Derrell Ford around 4:30 p.m. Sunday. Ford is being charged with two counts of murder, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, and felon in possession of a firearm.
Crosby says there could be additional charges in the future. According to the arrest warrants, witnesses say Ford got into an argument with one of the shooting victims and began firing off multiple rounds.
Myrtle Beach Police say Ford was on GPS monitoring by the Horry County Sheriff’s Department and the GPS unit confirmed Ford was at the shooting location at the time it happened but fled the scene after.
Horry County Coroner Tamara Willard confirmed Dameion Alston, 26, and Macquis Burgess, 27, both of Myrtle Beach, died Saturday evening at Grand Strand Medical Center from injuries sustained in the shooting earlier that evening.

Myrtle Beach Police are continuing to investigate.
