Sources familiar with the search tell WSPA that Georgetown head football coach and co-athletic director Bradley Adams is the choice as the new head football coach and athletic director at Union County High School.
Adams’ name will be prepsented to the Union County School Board for final confirmation at a Wednesday meeting.
Adams has guided Georgetown the past six seasons, posting a 40-27 mark. His 2015 team went 9-4 and avanced to the third round of the 3A lower state playoffs.
He’s a native of Loris (Horry County) and played college football at Newberry College, where he graduated in 2003.
Adams replaces Steve Taneyhill, whose contract was not renewed in January after four seasons as head football coach.
