GEORGETOWN, SC (WBTW) – The sheriff’s office made 12 arrests and seized marijuana, mushrooms, ecstasy and cocaine during a traffic safety check.
Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office along with officers from nine other jurisdictions set up the safety stop Friday night on North Fraser Street, Georgetown.
According to the sheriff’s office, the stop resulted in 34 citations being issued and 12 arrests, including two for driving under the influence and four for narcotics violations.
Seized during the operation were 41.6 grams of marijuana, 64.5 grams of psilocybin mushrooms, .2 grams of cocaine, two dosage units of MDMA, commonly known as ecstasy, and two dosage units of other pills.
