GEORGETOWN, S.C. – Georgetown County is offering residents the opportunity to change a child’s life by getting involved in the ad Litem program.
Kids that enter the foster program are in need of advocates to speak up for them in family court. If you are over the age of 21 and you can give four or five hours a month to visit a child you can qualify to help.
Georgetown County residents that want to help child abuse victims are invited to attend the 30 hour training program at no cost. The class consists of 15 online hours and 15 hours of hands on training.
The next class begins in August and will be held Tuesday mornings through September in Georgetown.
