A Georgetown County man was arrested on suspicion of drug and firearm violations on Tuesday.

Georgetown County Sheriff Lane Cribb says in a press release that 30-year-old Justin James Poston, of David Ray Road in Georgetown, was arrested by the GCSO on suspicion of trafficking methamphetamine and possession of firearms during a violent crime.

The release also says “warrants are being sought against Justin James Poston of David Ray Road, Georgetown. Poston is being held in Georgetown County Detention Center pending charges and a bond hearing.”

According to the release, deputies were called to the area of Rose Hill Road near the Rose Hill Church on Wednesday night for a report of a suspicious person.
