GEORGETOWN COUNTY, SC (WBTW) – One man is in the hospital after being shot outside a convenience store in Georgetown County Tuesday night. 

Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office officials say they are searching for Jed Coleman, 20, of McClellanville. Coleman is suspected of firing a gun and injuring Joshua Allen Miller, 24, of Georgetown. Officials say the shooting happened at the Francis Marion Store at the intersection of North Fraser Street and Browns Ferry Road.

It was first reported by Georgetown police that two people were shot. Later reports from the sheriff’s office confirmed only one injury.

The suspect is described as a black man, 6’2″ and 205 pounds. Anyone with information is asked to call 843.546.5102.
