ANDREWS, SC (WBTW) – The Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office is conducting a murder investigation after a body was found near Andrews Wednesday.
Georgetown County Deputy Coroner Chase Ridgeway says Lamar Michael Thompson, 32, of Moncks Corner, was found shot to death in the driver’s seat of a 2008 GMC Yukon on Dorien Drive off County Line Road. That’s in the southwest corner of the county, near the Williamsburg County line.
Ridgeway says the body will be sent to MUSC for an autopsy on Thursday.
