LORIS, SC (WBTW) – Detectives with the Horry County Police Department Gang Unit seized heroin, crack, cocaine, marijuana, numerous guns and cash from a Loris home while searching for a wanted man.

According to Lt. Raul Denis with Horry County Police, gang unit officers as well as the US Marshall Fugitive Task Force went to a

home on Live Oak Church Road in Loris Friday morning at 11:15 a.m. to look for a fugitive. Officers were able to confirm the wanted man was inside the home, but he refused to come out.

When officers moved in to arrest the fugitive, they discovered 572 grams of heroin, 441 grams of crack, 35 grams of cocaine,  marijuana, six firearms – three of which were assault rifles, and $81,887 in cash. All of the drugs, guns and cash were seized by officers, confirms Lt. Denis.

Three men were arrested during the investigation, however, police are not releasing the suspects’ names at this time because this is considered an open investigation, according to Lt. Denis.
