A judge is expected to consider a motion filed to lift a gag order in the Heather Elvis case on March 4.
Solicitor Jimmy Richardson confirmed Circuit Court Judge R. Markley Dennis will preside over the hearing, scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. at the Charleston County Courthouse.
The hearing comes more than a month after Defense Attorney Greg McCollum filed a motion to lift the gag order in late January. Judge Steven John signed off on the gag order in March, limiting the information those involved with the case can publicly release.
