Funeral plans have been made for two parents who were in the same truck who died in a crash on Sunday in Horry County.
The crash happened just after 7 p.m. Sunday on Highway 378 and Henry C. Lane outside of Conway.
According to Lance Corporal Jedd Jones of the SCHP, three cars were involved in the crash.
Derrick Darrell Adams, 29, of Cades and Stacy Marie Godwin, 36, of Myrtle Beach were killed in the crash, Horry County Deputy Coroner Michelle McSpadden said.
Godwin was the mother of a boy and a girl while Adams was the father of a boy, their obituaries said.
Lance Corporal Jones says the driver of a 2002 Chevy Pickup was traveling east on Highway 378, when the pickup crossed into the westbound lanes, and struck a 2006 Lincoln SUV head-on. A 2013 Nissan then struck the Lincoln from the back.
Godwin was the driver of a white Chevy Avalanche. Adams was a passenger in the same vehicle, McSpadden said.
The male driver of the Lincoln was flown to Grand Strand Regional Medical Center with serious injuries, and the male passenger of the Lincoln also went to Grand Strand Regional Medical Center with minor injuries.
The male driver and the female passenger of the Nissan were transported to Grand Strand Regional Medical Center with minor injuries.
Godwin was a graduate of Lake City High School and lived in Florence in the past, according to her Facebook page.
A memorial services for Godwin will be held Friday at 11 am at the Chapel Norton Funeral Home. Dr. Gary Colboch will officiate. Visitation will be following the service.
Adams was a graduate of Williamsburg County school and joined St. Paul AME Church at an early age, his obituary said.
The funeral service for Derrick Darrell Adams is scheduled for 11 am, Saturday at St. Paul AME Church, 4860 Cade Road, Cades, where the pastor, Rev. Franklin Fulmore, Sr. will officiate.
Family members are receiving friends at 257 Ditch Bank Road, Cades, Adams’ obituary said.
