Funeral services set for NC mom, 3 daughters who were beaten to death with hammer

GREENVILLE, N.C. – Funeral arrangements have been set for the four victims of a quadruple murder in Greenville.

The services for Garlette Howard, and her three daughters, Bryana, Myona, and Ayona, will be on Saturday, August 27 at the Cedar Hill Baptist Church in Williamston.

A wake will be held for the four victims at 1 p.m., followed by a 2 p.m. service. The girls were ages 6, 7, and 11.

Bryana’s grandmother tells WNCT the services are open to the public.

Dabon Toone, 39, is accused of killing all four, who were discovered dead in a townhouse on Tuesday evening, police said.

Toone, who is in custody after he fled to Virginia, is the father of two of the youngest girls who died, police say.

An autopsy revealed a hammer was used in the attack.
