Funeral plans have been made for a young South Carolina woman who was a nursing student who died in a one-car crash near Dillon on Monday, officials said.
McKinsey Rebecca Cook, 21, of Cayce did in the crash that happened around 12:15 pm on Interstate 95 at mile marker 179, said Cpl. Sonny Collins of the SC Highway Patrol.
Cook, who was currently attending Midlands Technical College as a nursing student, was driving northbound in a Jeep Liberty, when the SUV hit the left side guardrail, officials said.
The Jeep then went off the right side of I-95 and hit a tree, Collins said. Cook was wearing a seatbelt and was the only occupant of the Jeep.
