Sunday, family and friends say goodbye to Kyrie Henry.

The 4-year-old Greendale Elementary student was killed Wednesday in Beech Island when the bus he was riding on collided with a tractor trailer.
Friends, family, school board members and state representatives all gathered at New Beginning Ministries to remember Kyrie.
People who knew the young boy say he was a true joy to be around and hundreds of others came just to show their support for the family.
There were even parents of children riding the same bus as Kyrie in the audience.
His parents Lisa and Darren Henry were joined by people from all over the state of South Carolina who came to remember their son.
“He was very energetic very passionate about wanting to learn, he always had this smile on his face,” Missy Walker said.
Missy Walker taught Kyrie speech therapy, and in the period of time she knew him, she says he became like her own.
South Carolina State Representative Don Wells came to show support for the Henry family, and also his concern for a much bigger issue at hand.
“I can assure you from a general assembly or from the house standpoint that we will do everything within our power to examine and reexamine the safety of school buses,” Wells said.
Wells says this is the first bus accident with a death in 20 years, but any life loss is one too many.
“That is a very long time but just not long enough in my opinion,” Wells added.
He says the bus Kyrie and 7 other students were riding is a newer model bus equipped with seat belts.
Others say seat belts should be enforced on the school bus and smaller children, like Kyrie, should have to sit in car seats just like they would in a regular car.
