CHARLESTON, SC – Walter Scott’s wake will be held at Fielding Funeral Home at 122 Logan Street at 5 P.M. on Friday. The visitation is open for friends, family and the public.

The Funeral of Walter Scott will be Saturday, April 11th at 11:00. A.M. at the W.O.R.D. Ministries Christian Center at 301 Crosscreek Drive, Summerville, SC 29485. The funeral is open to the public.

This weekend, 8 North Charleston United Methodist Churches will hold a prayer vigil at 5:00 P.M. at the site of Walter Scott’s shooting followed by a short prayer service at Aldersgate United Methodist Church on Remount Road. Organizers say the experience will focus on healing and hope.

Civil rights leader, Rev. Al Sharpton is expected to speak about Walter Scott’s death at Charity Baptist Church in North Charleston on Sunday.

Also on Sunday, a prayer and candlelight vigil will be held at Seacoast North Charleston campus. The Church is asking anyone who wants to show their love and support to come out between 6 P.M. and 8 P.M. The campus is on North Rhett Avenue at Sumner Avenue. There will be guest speakers, live music and more.
