Significant ice accumulation caused big problems this morning across Chesterfield, Darlington, Scotland, Robeson, and Marlboro counties this morning. These were the hardest hit locations in our area. Ice impacted travel, while also downing trees and power lines. Ice totals were generally between 0.10″ and 0.25″. There were some higher amounts, especially in northern Robeson, Scotland, and Chesterfield counties where some reports were as high as 0.50″.
Other locations east of I-95 toward the coast saw a brief period of freezing rain and sleet, but with no accumulations
