Free relief available for home owners impacted by Hurricane Matthew

CONWAY, SC (WBTW) – Impact Ministries along with the Waccamaw Volunteer Organizations Active in Disaster have partnered to assist homeowners in Horry County that may have experienced damage due to Hurricane Matthew.

Once home owners have a chance to safely assess their properties, they can visit http://www.goimpactmb.org/disasterrelief to fill out an application for assistance such as debris removal, removal of mud or water, sheetrock and more.

Once the application has been submitted, home owners will receive a response and assessors will be sent out as soon as it is safe to do so.

Director of Impact Ministries Todd Wood said it’s important to fill out the application as soon as possible to receive assistance.

“It’s very important that families call us right away or they go right to the website, if you fill out those forms right now then we’ll know which families, what part of the county has most been effected so we’ll know how many volunteers to begin to resource to call in and where we need place these teams,” said Wood.
