FLORENCE (WBTW)– Francis Marion improved to 13-8 overall on the season by defeating Johnson & Wales on Monday night. The Patriots defeated the Wildcats 96-76.
Francis Marion was led by sophomore guard Mike Davis Jr. He had 20 points and seven assists. Detrek Browning added 18 points, six rebounds and three assists. Judah Alexander had 11 points and was 4-for-4 from the floor. Mykel Harris also had a good night. He added 12 points and two assists off the bench.
FMU was hot from behind the arc. The Patriots went 11-for-28 from three point range.
The Wildcats were led by junior Ricky Porter. Porter had a double-double with 22 points and 10 rebounds.
Next up, FMU will host Lander University on Wednesday evening at 7:30 p.m.
