CONWAY, SC (WBTW) – Horry County Council is ready to clean up “Restaurant Row” in North Myrtle Beach. At a council meeting on Tuesday, a resolution passed to approve the settlement of the Zoning Board of Appeals in the case of Restaurant Row Waterway LLC vs. Horry County Board of Zoning Appeals.
The settlement resulted in an agreement to demolish former site of Thee DollHouse, a gentleman’s club in business for over 25 years.
“It’s the first thing people see coming in on Shore Drive at the stop light there and you gotta sit there and look at that,” said Horry County Council Chairman, Mark Lazarus.
The property owner is allowed to rebuild but the property cannot be used for adult entertainment. The building must be torn down in the next 60 days.
It’s a great win for both of us,” said Lazarus. “I think for the developer, he’ll build something nice there we can all be proud of and we’ll move forward.”
