FLORENCE, SC (WBTW) – A former police chief in Columbia, SC was arrested in Florence County.
According to deputies with the Florence County Sheriff’s office,Randy Scott, was arrested on Saturday. Deputies made the arrest after responding to a report of a stolen vehicle out of Wilkesboro, NC. The car was reportedly a 2019 Dodge Challenger.
According to deputies, the stolen vehicle was found at a motel on Cale Yarborough Highway near Timmonsville. Deputies made contact with two people in a room associated with the vehicle.
Along with Scott, deputies arrested, Aimee Cook, out of Hiddenite, NC. Scott has a Lugoff, SC address.
Cook was taken into custody on felony warrants out of Lexington County, SC. Scott was taken into custody on warrants issued by the Bureau ofAlcohol, Tobacco & Firearms (ATF).
