A former Latta parks and recreation director faces two felony charges after state investigators say he was involved in distributing child pornography on his personal computer.

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division charged Vontray Sellers, of Dillon, with two counts of second degree sexual exploitation of a minor. The South Carolina Attorney General’s Office announced Sellers’ arrest on Wednesday.

Officials say a search warrant was executed at his residence on Tuesday. Investigators seized cellular devices and computer-related equipment during the search.

According to the South Carolina Attorney General’s Office, each count is punishable by up to 10 years in jail.

The Attorney General’s Office plans to prosecute the case. Officials reiterate that all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. 

The Dillon County Sheriff’s Office assisted in the arrest of Sellers.
