LORIS, SC (WBTW) – Agents on Monday arrested the former owner of Vapor Plus in Loris on tax-related charges.
James Weldon Faulk, 69, of Tabor City, N.C., is charged with attempting to evade sales tax due, according to arrest warrants.
Over the course of four years, according to affidavits by a state Department of Revenue agent, the defendant under-reported sales for Vapor Plus by almost $900,000, evading more than $66,000 in sales tax.
Faulk remains in the J Reuben Long Detention Center on Monday without bail set.
