Owner of the former Gold Club, Mike Rose, was convicted on more than a hundred federal charges of money laundering, racketeering and drug trafficking.

Rose is the third person who has been convicted from these stemming from a federal investigation from last spring.

Prosecutors say Rose, Vladimir Handl, Peter Scalise and their associates used their Myrtle Beach businesses to launder money from drug trafficking.

According to federal documents, Rose was convicted of the charges on Monday January 25.

He previously pleaded guilty to a number of the more than 100 charges against him.

Rose is the most recent conviction.

Handl, former owner of Heat Ultra Lounge in Myrtle Beach was convicted after a stipulated bench trial last week.

We reported earlier in the month, Peter Scalise, another former local area businessman who was also charged with more than a hundred different crimes also pleaded guilty

Only a few months ago, all three men filed a motion to have all charges dropped.

The men alleged gross government conduct; claiming the feds entrapped them.

A federal judge dismissed those claims.

All three men will be sentenced on May 31st according to officials with the U.S Attorney.

News 13 spoke to Mike Rose about the conviction; however, he said he will hold off on making a formal statement until the May sentencing.
