A North Carolina man is under arrest for murder after deputies say he killed missing couple, Cristie Schoen Codd and Joseph “JT” Codd.
Robert Jason Owens, 36, faces that 2 counts of murder, and other related charges, according to Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office bookings.
Jail officials said Owens was also charged with the murder of an unborn child. Owens made his first appearance in court Tuesday morning.

The couple lived on Hookers Gap Road in Leicester. Family and friends say the pair was leaving from their home to go on two separate business trips over the weekend.
The family of the Codd’s, reported the couple missing on March 15.
Cristie Codd was a former contestant on the “Next Food Network Star” Season 8.
Several North Carolina media outlets are reporting Owens was once a suspect in the 2000 missing teen case involving Zebb Quinn.
