MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – Firefighters were dispatched to a structure fire at Teal Lake Villas on Tidewater Drive at around 5 a.m. Tuesday morning.
The cause of the fire was believed to be food left on the stove after the man went to sleep.
Officers say there was an older gentleman and a dog in the unit at the time, but both were able to get out safely.
