DARLINGTON, SC (WBTW) – A Florence woman died Monday night in a single car crash in Darlington County.
According to Darlington County Coroner Todd Hardee, Elizabeth Allen Commander, 40, died when her car hit a ditch on Highway 401 in Darlington around 10 p.m. Monday night.
Sonny Collins with the SC Highway Patrol says Commander ran off the road to the right and collided with a utility pole and the ditch before the car overturned. Collins says the victim was the only person in the car.
Officials say the crash is still under investigation by the Darlington County Coroner’s Office and the SC Highway Patrol.
