FLORENCE, SC (WBTW) – A student entrepreneur from Florence will be representing the state of South Carolina as she heads off to a national competition after winning a state entrepreneurship competition.

Tindall Hutchinson is a junior at Florence High School and the owner of Shutter Up Photography, a senior and lifestyle photography business founded in 2013.

In just four short years, her business has won several awards and appeared in publications all over the southeast. Hutchinson recently became the youngest business owner in the southeast to gain a membership with the Professional Photographers of America.

As a result of placing in the YEScarolina State competition, Hutchinson is invited to participate at the 2016 Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship National Youth Entrepreneurship Challenge to compete against top young entrepreneurs of the nation.

An additional component to the challenge is an Elevator Pitch Contest. Each competitor is asked to create an elevator pitch video for their business. The entrepreneur whose pitch wins the most unique votes will receive a special “People’s Choice” award on the night of the National Youth Entrepreneurship Challenge.

You can support Hutchinson by casting your vote here.

The winning student of the Elevator Pitch Contest will be featured during the night of the competition on stage and the winner will be awarded a check for $2,500.
