FLORENCE, SC – Congratulations to Roy Ann Jolley. She is the Florence School District One Principal of the Year.
Jolley has spent the past 16 years as principal of Delmae Heights Elementary School. She began her career as a teacher in Florence One back in 1973. Monday, District Superintendent Dr. Randy Bridges came to the school to make the big announcement.
Jolley told News13 why she wanted to be an educator and her thoughts on receiving the award, ” Not only have you done it because you love it, but other people recognize kind of the effort that you put forth and what you do. It’s an acknowledgment that it’s worth it in a lot of ways.”
Jolley will now represent Florence One in the state Principal of the Year program.
