Florence, SC (WBTW) — The Florence RedWolves will retake the diamond on the campus of FMU tomorrow to begin their 2019 season in the Pee Dee.

The Wolves will have plenty of new faces in the dugout including first year head coach Ryan Vruggink who joins the team after coaching with Macon in 2018 and the Martinsville Mustangs from 2016-17.

The Wolves roster is made up of players from all around the country including several local players like current Duke outfielder and former Trinity-Byrnes standout Jake Swartz and current Charleston Southern infielder and former Conway star Reid Hardwick. Current Coastal Carolina pitcher Trevor Damron is also expected to join the roster after the Chants postseason run.

The roster is not expected to be filled out until the conclusion of the 2019 NCAA baseball tournament.

The Wolves finished the 2018 season with a 22-26 record in the Coastal Plain League and will open their season tomorrow at home against the Asheboro Copperheads at 7:00 P.M.
