FLORENCE, SC (WBTW) – Florence Police are looking for the driver of a Ford Expedition who is wanted for questioning in regards to fountain vandalism in Florence.
In the past week, an unidentified person (or persons) dumped loads of soaps into 5 fountains throughout the Pee Dee, causing them to overflow.
Police say they want to speak with the driver of a red Ford Expedition about the incident that happened at 200 West Evans Street.
On Tuesday morning, the fountain outside of the Marion County School District Office overflowed. All of the other incidents happened in downtown Florence and on Francis Marion University’s campus.
It’s unknown at this time if the person wanted in Florence is also responsible for the vandalism at the other four fountains.
Police say there was no significant damage to the fountains. They are investigating and are working to determine what charges to bring against the suspect(s).
