FLORENCE, SC (WBTW) – Florence police made an arrest in the Sunday morning killing of a man on South Irby Street.
Lt. Mike Brandt with the police department says officers arrested Dontavious Xavior Shaw in the 500 block of Silver Leaf Road around 10 p.m. Tuesday night. Shaw, 18, of Florence, is charged with murder in the killing of Kevin Tyler Parker.
Officers responded to the 2200 block of S. Irby Street around 3 a.m. Sunday, after a call about a suspicious vehicle.
Officials have not commented on a motive for the murder and say additional charges are likely as the investigation continues.
