Florence police arrest alleged gunman from Booker St. shooting

FLORENCE, SC (WBTW) – Florence police say they have a man in custody after he attempted to kill multiple people near Booker Street last week.

Lt. Mike Brandt with the Florence Police Department says officers were accompanied by South Carolina Law Enforcement Division agents and the Florence County Sheriff’s Office to arrest Dominque Marquis Williams Monday morning on Norfolk Street.

Williams is accused of firing multiple shots during a shooting near Booker Street and Commander Street Jan. 21. The alleged gunman is charged with three counts of attempted murder, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, and discharging a firearm into a vehicle.
