FLORENCE, SC (WBTW) – A Florence man faces an attempted murder charge after police officers found a victim lying in the parking lot of an apartment community with stab wounds.
Major Carlos Raines with the Florence Police Department says officers responded to an assault call Saturday evening at 417 South Church Street. When police arrived on scene, they found a victim lying in the parking lot with blood coming from multiple stab wounds.
The victim was stabbed in the head and back, according to an arrest warrant for Darry Brooks, 38, of Florence. The victim was taken to the hospital, but the person’s condition is unknown at this time.
Brooks is charged with one count of attempted murder and was booked into the Florence County Detention Center Monday night at 9:27 p.m. Online booking records do not indicate a bond amount has been set.
